Go Big or Go Home
Here’s a quick round up of the BIG newspaper photo blogs that I know of. What is big? Big is 900 pixels wide or more. These blogs usually post images on the same theme or story and include several images in the extended entry. This all started thanks to Alan Taylor at the Boston Globe with The Big Picture.

So what’s next? More and more I hope. Newspaper web sites need to give up a little control of their templates, delete the right and left rails and go big with their photo blogs. I’d also like to see more local photography on these big photo blogs. They are mostly populated by wire images, with some local entries too, but not many.
